Cytology - Cytoscreeners:
The Claymon Biomnis Cytology Department provides a cytology service for General Practitioners and as part of Caymon Biomnis' Health & Lifestyle Programmes. We anticipate that demand for our service will steadily increase over the coming 12 months. WIth this is mind we invite applications for Cytoscreeners and trainee Cytoscreeners.
The requirements for Cytoscreeners are:
- To screen cervical smears according to protocols set down by BSCC and make a major contribution to the cytology screening service.
- For trainees. to train for and pass the Certificate in Cervical Cytology,and eventually conribute to the primary screening service
- Prepare/stain thin prep samples
- To assist with data entry of cervical smear samples
- To carry out the technical work of the cytology section on a rotational basis
- To work both independently and in a team
