Claymon Biomnis, the leading independent provider of medically-led pathology services in Ireland, is proud to announce the successful retention and extension of our ISO 15189 accreditation.

ISO 15189 is an internationally recognised quality standard that specifies requirements for quality and competence particular to medical laboratories. The standard encompasses provisions for the pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical phases of medical laboratory services, including advice to users, analysis of samples, interpretation of test results, acceptable turnaround times, how testing is to be provided in a medical emergency and the laboratory's role in the education and training of healthcare staff.

Claymon Biomnis was the first independent company in Ireland to achieve ISO accreditation back in 1997. Since that time we have consistently retained and expanded the scope of our initial award and we are now the only independent organisation to provide and ISO 15189 accredited cervical smear service.

Located in Sandyford, Dublin our 12,000 square foot laboratory processes more than one million tests a year for hundreds of clients including public and private hospitals/clinics and private organisations throughout Ireland.
